Misto Bar & Grill Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Six of us thought we'd try Misto's for dinner, and we are glad we did. Michael, our server, was helpful and a lot of fun. The menu is a la carte. In spite of that in was a reasonably priced meal considering the quality. There are lots of choices that we didn't try that we will in the future. For an appetizer I had oysters on the half shell. Of as long as the oysters are decent, what can you say? However they were served with a dollop of horseradish creme fraiche which was a nice twist. One of our friends had the calamari. Again, not too adventuresome, but it was done well, crisp outside and tender in. My wife and one of our friends had one of the specials, pork Wellington. it was pork in a puff pastry with goat cheese and a Madeira wine sauce. The pork was not overdone and they both thoroughly enjoyed it. Another had the oysters as I did and the Misto cakes (an appetizer) as her entree. I had a chance to taste it. The menu description was enticing. It was a fried risotto cake with mushrooms and a veal reduction sauce. It was delicious. Too big as an appetizer. Might be best shared or as she had it as a lighter entrée. Another friend had a ribeye. I didn't get a chance to see it well from where I was sitting, but he said he enjoyed it. Two of us had the risotto. It was topped with asparagus and portobello mushrooms. It wasn't the best I have ever had, but it was very good with rich flavor. Too be super critical, it could have been a little looser and more al dente. However it was a good portion and I would consider ordering it again. We didn't have dessert and all of us said we will definitely return. My wife and my bill for two entrées, three glasses of wine, a cocktail and one appetizer came to $77 not including tip. Very reasonable for the ambiance and food quality.

After reading the Yelp reviews, I decided to try this place for my birthday dinner with my boyfriend. I'm glad we did! We were both really pleased with everything. The food was really good, as well as the atmosphere. They bring out fresh, warm bread with an olive oil dip. It was so good. We had fried calamari as an appetizer. It was perfect. Tender inside, lightly crisp outside. Not chewy at all. For entrees, I had the ribeye and my bf had a seafood dish (can't remember which). Very good! We were stuffed. Couldn't fit dessert. Being from NYC, I can be pretty hard to please, especially when it comes to food but I will definitely go back to this place!

Great restaurant in a small strip of shops, where a plain exterior opens into a classy boutique eatery. First class appetizers, steaks and seafood, good wine and professional service. Will return when in the area.

The unfortunate part of the experience I had here had everything to do with the temperature. It was too hot & very difficult to enjoy the DELICIOUS food they brought to the table. This was upsetting to me. I can imagine a glass of wine would have increased my temperature, but I did not have one. I would make a huge difference if the owner lowered his thermostat 3-5 degrees. Perhaps they are looking to attract old people who are often cold. I definitely won't go back based in how uncomfortable it was to sit there. The waiter was awesome. The food outstanding. It doesn't make sense to be so cheap & safe a few dollars on the electric bill.

Okay, so don't judge a book by it's cover. Misto is in a strip mall next to a comic book shop, but it is a fantastic restaurant. We had reservations on a rainy Friday night (during season!) at 7pm and waited a very short period of time to be seated. Our table wasn't the best (round, kind of in the middle between the bar and the restaurant section, a little awkward), but the maitre d' realized this and offered us something different. We didn't care that much. The menu was extensive - don't look at the online menu before you go because it isn't the same. It is "moderately priced," with most entrees around $22-30. My husband chose the Seafood Napoleon (salmon, crab stuffed shrimp in bacon, scallops) and I chose the lamb shank with cheesy risotto. While we waited we received a basket of three HUGE, thick, crusty garlic rolls - delicious. The lamb shank was absolutely incredible, cooked to perfection. I am not super into cheese, and even I loved the cheesy risotto. The portion was massive. Same with my husband's meal - huge and delicious. We ordered peanut butter pie for dessert, though it was difficult to decide out of eight or so choices of desserts. We weren't disappointed. What really stood out to me about this restaurant (other than the food, of course) was how friendly and attentive ALL the staff was. The maitre d' was very accommodating and friendly, checking in on us midway through our meal. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and was polite and professional. The bartender removed our dessert plates away and made friendly conversation. Even the young kid filling waters was friendly. Overall, AMAZING food and great staff. You won't regret trying this hidden gem!

Very interesting and tasty meal. I was in town for business, and it was convenient. Based on Yelp, I gave it a try and we were all glad we went. Italian, steak and seafood options at this hidden gem. It's in a strip mall but don't let that fool you! They do have limited hours after tourist season, beginning in mid-July, which is too bad. The specials are obviously homemade from scratch.

Had the shrimp and mussels fra dovolo and it was excellent. The shrimp were large and cooked just right. A little light on the portion of mussels. I always have take home but had none tonight. Service was very good, and food came out quickly. Cheesecake was outstanding.

The raw oysters were fresh and presented well, with a delicious horseradish and cocktail. The bar is stocked with several Italian rarities including Grapa and Peroni in addition to beer, wines and liquor that is typical for the area. The service was really exceptional: prompt, attentive, knowledge about the menu and cuisine in general. The entrees were delicious: one pasta dish and one steak.

I've been reading all these stellar reviews and finally decided to see what it's all about. No regrets; a sensational meal all around. Everything was just superb. I anticipate many more wonderful meals here. My new favorite!

So, no complaints here. Not a one. The place is nice. Has a nice decor especially for a date night. I went with my wife and our friend for dinner. We had great great service by Dan. Our appetizer of misto cake ($10) was delicious. I ordered the Pinot Grigio and that was nice ($9). Dan did forget to bring the bread out for us but we had read a review that someone said their bread was the best they've ever had so we spoke up and he brought some right out the oven and yes it was delicious. I orders the veal misto and it was great. They come wrapped but in the middle is a bed of a gnocchi which was great. The meal was superb. My wife had the churrasco w chimichurri sauce she enjoyed it but it could've used a slight bit more seasoning. Our friend had the filet mignon and enjoyed it. For dessert we ordered the creme brûlée but it was slightly different (chocolate chip I wanna say) and it was AWESOME. We also ordered the lemon cake I think it was called and it was good. Not great compared to the creme brûlée. Total we paid $120 for 3 people but we really ordered whatever the hell we wanted. I'd go back.

Without a doubt, the best Caesar salad I've ever had! I also really enjoyed the Puttanesca pasta. Really nice place with great Italian food.

Came here for the first time for Valentines Dinner. It was actually a large group of us since we had family visiting from out of town. It's hard to judge a restaurant for the first time on a major dining out holiday so I'll have to try it again. This review is based upon them being extremely busy and only a limited menu. First, I was really hoping to have an Italian meal. This menu didn't feel Italian at all - more "continental". I started with Misto cakes - which were risotto cakes with ground veal and cheese in the center. They were very good. Others at the table had escargot (OK) and boom boom shrimp (which is like bang bang shrimp - fried and dressed with a spicy mayo) - they were good. Unfortunately they didn't have their calamari or mussels on the menu this evening. I've heard their calamari is good. As a main course, I had Veal Misto which is a roulade of veal around cheese, breadcrumbs and roasted peppers,. To me, the roasted peppers dont belong - i pulled them out. It was served with broccoli rabe (a little over cooked for me) and I think risotto (I honestly dont remember). This was just OK. The veal was a little tough for me. I tried the chicken (don't recall what it was called on the menu) but it was basically in a creamy mushroom marsala sauce over pasta - this dish was much better than the veal. Other meals tried - Duck - was good but the black wild rice had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. Filet mignon - very good. Shrimp over pasta - the shrimp were gigantic. Looked good. Service was very weak. When we were greeted we were told we would have 2 servers yet we only ever saw the one server who took our order and brought our drinks, food. She was stressed and running like a lunatic. And she only took like, half of the table's order, would go put it in, and then seemed annoyed when the other half of the table asked for a drink, dessert or coffee - hello - why didn't you ask everyone before leaving the table?? Again, I am going to give it the benefit of the doubt and assume this was because it was Valentines Day. We will be back to try Misto again on a regular Friday or Saturday night....

The dual marlin plate yesterday was outstanding, flown in fresh from Hawaii. Seared rare.

This is a very nice restaurant. Three of us stopped in here for dinner and were quite happy with our meals. We had the Maryland crab cakes, Grouper Vera Cruz special and the Veal Parmigiana special with fettuccine. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection, as they say. We followed it up with espresso & cappuccino. What's not to like? :)

Rotten seafood with a side of roaches. Had the unfortunate experience of dining here and it will definitely be my last. Aside from receiving a plate of rancid muscles, I am most upset with how the staff - especially the manager dealt with the situation. Aside from being rude to all of the guests at my table, when we made them aware of the plate containing the spoiled seafood, he argued with us that the muscles were all fresh!!! This was after they swiftly removed stinking plate from the restaurant floor. At first when you walk in the restaurant there are stacked chairs and tables that are not being used thrown into an abandoned corner - probably harboring the roaches. My party sat near the front of the restaurant near that area. After seeing roaches crawling on the wall we notified the management in a discrete fashion, unfortunately we had already ordered because we should have immediately left the restaurant. For a restaurant that is attempting to go for a 'fine dining' experience, they need to step up their game. Misto is located in a mini-mall adjacent to a pet store and a magic the gathering game shop. So if you want to impress your date by bringing them to a bug infested place with a rude inexperienced staff don't say I didn't warn you.

  • Paul C.

I don't write many reviews for restaurants because I am hard to impress I guess. Our meal at Misto was so good I have to tell someone. Chef Giorgio has high standards and unusual selections. For an appetizer we had deep sea Baracuda that was so good I didn't think the meal could top it, but it did. Scottish Trout was the main course and it was amazing. I have never seen these items on a menu anywhere. So if you are in the Ft Myers area, plan a dinner at Misto. Service was excellent, Michael does a great job of explaining what is on the Menu, and the quality was 5 star all the way.

Our multiple experiences at Misto match others' experiences - food's great. Staff is rude and short with customers - almost annoyed that you're there, especially during busy times. We'd eaten there before, and felt the staff was slightly rude, but the food was so good we wanted to go back and give them another shot. Had reservations for Valentine's Day. Waited at the host stand as several employees passed by without acknowledging us. Not even a "we'll be with you in a moment." After about 5 mins of standing there, another couple came in behind us. The host greeted them immediately - they clearly knew each other - spoke to each other in Italian, and the host seated them before even acknowledging us. Yes. We stood there while the couple who came in behind us was seated immedately. We finally got seated by a server who explained our favorite menu item - Sea Misto - was unavailable on the "special" Valentine menu. We got up and left and most likely won't be back.

Very disappointed for our Valentine meals. My husband's meal came out before my appetizer. Then the waitress said she was told to bring everything out together. Bad service. I told her I didn't want it then, she said OK. My meal was hot and good as was my husband's. We felt rushed . When we received the bill the appetizer was still on it. After we told the waitress she took it back and only subtracted the amount of the appetizer she did not adjust the tax or the tip. Will think twice about going back.

I just brought my entire family here for my birthday, beside the cockroach on the wall, they served my son mussels that smelled like the bottom of the east river! They didn't even care, made a new batch and didn't do a thing about it! I told them about the cockroach on the wall and it took them over a half hour to get it! They had the nerve to argue with me about the mussels, not one person but THREE people came over to the table to argue with me! I mean really, you argue with someone about bad food? I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this restaurant! $200 for my birthday and all I want to do is vomit! So unbelievable

Food & service was definitely 4 star, the restaurant lacks FL charm I was expecting ,, there is no outdoor seating either and dinning room was a bit dark. :)

We had thought of trying Misto out many times, but somehow never did til last night. We made a reservation for Sat. night, but it was unnecessary. We were sat back in the bar, and asked to be moved forward into the main restaurant- which they did. Shortly after we ordered our wine (the house Cab is on the sweet side- could be better), the waiter spilled a whole tray of wine on the patrons in the table next to us- which just missed us. Things went smoothly after that excitement. The bread and tapenade is different and nice, the background music playing was to our delight Andre Bocelli and Sarah Brightman- both whom we had seen in concert. We tried one of the nightly specials, which we split along with a salad. The salad of mixed greens had a nice balsamic dressing. The main course was great-Red Snapper Rockefeller- topped with spinach, a small amount of crab, and bearnaise sauce. This was accompanied by au gratin potatoes, a mixture of vegs.- cauliflower, broccoli, carrots- all al dente. The garnish was a flower. Even splitting the meal- it was too much for us. Service was good through out, and the owner and chef obviously care about their patrons, as they both stopped at our table to ask how everything was. We were very glad we stopped by, and will definitely be back

Just tried Misto for the first time and will definitely return. The dining room is larger than we thought and was pretty busy, but not 100% full, on a Thursday evening during snowbird season. When we arrived (party of 2) we were asked if we had a reservation, which we did not, but we were still seated promptly and even given a choice of table or booth. Next time we will make a reservation but this was a last-minute decision so thankful we made out all right. As others have said the rolls and dipping oil (with bean puree, herbs and cheese) are fantastic, and there was focaccia in the basket as well. Very plentiful portions of well-prepared food, served by a friendly and competent gentlemen (didn't get his name). My husband really enjoyed the preparation of the oysters on the half shell, each with a little dollop of fresh horseradish on top, and said they were fresh and delicious. He then had the rolled/stuffed veal entree served with gnocchi which he enjoyed. I thought the gnochhi was a little off, wrong texture and the flavor was odd. I realized well after placing my order that I had requested the Misto Cake for an appetizer (veal, risotto) and then one of the dinner specials (veal chop with risotto) but the two dishes were signifantly different from one another so as to enjoy both greatly. The appetizer looked like a grilled cheese on steroids and the sauce was velvety and rich in flavor; I'm going to have to experiment with replicating this dish at home! We passed on dessert but saw the tray delivered to the neighboring table, and all the selections (probably 7 or 8) looked decadent. Will be back and will not hesitate to bring houseguests. Looking forward to leftovers for lunch tomorrow!

We went to misto based on the reviews. We were not disappointed. Kendra was a great server. Very pleasant attentive. The restaurant was a great value. I ordered a house wine, which I'm very skeptical to do, and was very pleasantly surprised. It was very nice and a generous pour for the price. My pizza was amazing. The mahi mahi was extremely fresh and tasty. We all loved the meal!!!

Went to Misto on a Saturday night. At the end, seemed a shame to be dead by 8:30. As everyone says: in a strip mall, don't be fooled. John was at the front of the house to greet us, a Paesan from Queens, very nice conversation and host. Mike was our waiter, very personable and attentive, of course tried to up sell, but nice guy. The wife and I had the Chirizo and Rabe appetizer and Misto cakes. Fresh bread came out and was good with dipping oil and bean pesto. Home made Chirizo and Brocolli Rabe were spot on! Misto cakes were a twist on Arancini, and well executed with reduction sauce. Wine list was nice, had a Montepulciano which was nice. We asked if all pasta was homemade, and the answer was: yes. Wife had the grouper seafood over linguine. It was good, but no way was it home made pasta. I had the lamb shank, because they had already sold out of osso buco special. It was nice and tender; the risotto was good too. Tiramisu wasn't good, but they had a whole tray of dessert to choose from , so next time we will try something different. Had a good time talking with Mike and Joe, and definitely will be back. Casual elegance heading in web page is a little bit of a reach; Little Italy experience would be more appropriate if they had some Italian music playing. One of the better restaurants in Cape.

  • Kate S.

Excellent restaurant. Went with good friends and had a fabulous meal. It's definitely a classier restaurant, which is something that Cape Coral doesn't have too much of. It seems reasonably priced for the class of food and service. Atmosphere was nice, but place is quite loud! My husband had soup and Filet Mignon and he said it was cooked perfectly (even though the waitress wanted to have a heart attack for ordering it medium-well). I had the duck and it was awesome (actually - my first time ever having duck). Drinks came quick and cold, and the desert was out of this world. We will be returning for sure! Only issue was there was an appetizer on the menu I was really looking forward to trying, but they didn't have it :( I was disappointed, but that's OK.

Have been to Mistos 5 times so far and never had a bad meal. Had the rack of lamb on Tuesday and it was outstanding. The place is not cheap but you get what you pay for. If you want cheap go to McDonalds. If you want incredible food go to Mistos.

I'm from New York, but I've been visiting my family in Cape Coral for about 7 years now. When we go out to dinner, it's always the same old song and dance -- chain restaurants with boring dishes that I could probably cook better myself. I usually leave wondering "Why do we support places like this?" Tonight, my aunt suggested Misto, which had been recommended to her from a friend she knows from a local bakery. Misto is *hands down* the best restaurant I've been to in the Cape Coral/ Fort Meyers area. Honestly, we were concerned when we first arrived because all of the shades were drawn. It seemed to be empty, but we pulled the door open and entered the simple, yet elegantly decorated space. Nothing makes me happier than seeing the chef in the front of the house; not only did he greet us as we walked in, but I observed him seating tables & talking to customers throughout their meals. Wonderful. The service in general was excellent. As for the food - oh my god. First of all, the bread was fresh straight from the oven. One family member praised it as "the best bread she's had in a restaurant EVER." It really was fantastic. We each had a Caesar salad to start. I think these are hit or miss, so I rarely order them. But I sure am glad that I did. It was so tasty! Creamy, flavorful dressing in a generous portion for the price. ($5 a la carte or $2.50 with an entree) Entrees ordered were lamb shank, pork chop, lobster crepe... and I had the shrimp & mussels fra diavolo. Everyone used the same word to describe their meal: perfect. The dishes were different than anything offered in the area (thank god) and served in such an aesthetically pleasing way. The cheese around the crepe was bubbling. The pork chop was gigantic, yet moist and tender. The lamb came off the bone as just as the fork touched it. As for my dish, I haven't had such a good fra diavolo sauce before in my life. It was outstanding. The shrimp and mussels were delicious. This type of quality is exactly why you should support small businesses like Misto. Oh, and save room for dessert. I wish I could have put my fork into every dessert they had to offer. If you're still reading this, you should stop. Get in your car and drive to Misto.

Based solely on Yelp reviews, tried out Misto with my wife and a friend visiting from California. This is the best restaurant in Cape Coral, and the best I've had so far in the greater Fort Myers area. My brother is a professional chef, having cooked for several Michelin starred restaurants. I've eaten in all of them, and know not just good, but great food. This is it. Try it the next time you have a special night out. You'll be delighted you did. Reservations required in season, recommended year-round.

Although we live in the Cape we had never really paid much attention to this tiny restaurant tucked away in a small strip mall. My son mentioned that he had heard that many people he spoke with had mentioned that this was an excellent place to dine so we decided to give it a try. Upon arriving we stood in the foyer that is not noticeable from the interior of the dining area waiting to be seated for a long time as there was a reception table but no one was there. After quite awhile a woman appeared and asked if we had reservations? I told her we did not and I could see into the dining area that there were a dozen or more tables empty. She rolled her eyes at us as if to say: "if you plan on ever eating here again you should consider making reservations?" I thought her attitude was insulting. During our time spent in the restaurant I noticed the same woman was waiting on selected tables and bossing the staff around and also taking charge of the bar. During our meal our waiter had a large group to attend to plus us and we had to wait for anything we needed and this woman kept coming over to help and when we ask her for something she said she would take care of it and walked away and never helped. Very poor attitude and surly not a person that should be involved in the running of a restaurant. However I was not going to let someone with her attitude spoil my dining experience. I ordered the duck and was very happy with my selection. My husband ordered the Chicken Parma. and said that the chicken was tough and rubbery and could not finish it. My adult son settled on the home made Fettuccini but had to side order shrimp for an additional cost per shrimp. He did say that it was very tasty. This restaurant is an al la carte type and does offer a wide selection of high end entrées. As I had an enjoyable eating experience I would like to return in the future as long as I won't have to encounter that rude woman at the door.

The food was awesome, the noise level was terrible. Will definetly eat there again but not during the prime hours, we couldn't hear one another speak. The owner needs to do something about that. I would give 5 stars if it wasn't for the noise level.

I wouldn't say the best place to eat it cape coral but it was nice to have homemade pasta for a change. The homemade bread was delicious. The calamari was awful...very soggy. The waitress told me that they fry it for a second then sauté it in the pan to finish cooking it. We like it crispy and will remember if we ever want to order it from there again to ask them just to fry it. The breading was gross with sautéing it. They did offer kids meals, it was $5 for about 2 cups of buttered noodles. I ordered the fettuccini which was delish and paid $1.50 PER shrimp to add shrimp to it. I though that was a little ridiculous but at least they were an ok size and tasted good. I only added two with not knowing what to expect and was fine with two. The noodles were homemade and great. We also split a cup of the shrimp bisque and it was really good too. Service was great and everyone was nice. The only thing is it seemed a little " penny pinching " everything is ala carte except whatever was on the special board. They brought out cans of pop at $2 a piece...when I asked what kind they have they said whatever he got on sale. My sons noodles didn't come with fruit or anything which I thought was odd for kids meal. Also most places offer to comp something that wasn't eaten and they knew we didn't care for the calamari and only tried one piece each before pushing it to the end of the table. My 7 year old who almost always orders calamari as an entree said it was gross and spit it in his napkin. If your gonna sauté it don't bread it. My husband had the grouper arrabiati (?) and said it was just ok. He did say the fish tasted fresh but the dish itself was missing something. Was dead at 7 on a Friday night... Except for a few tables of old old timers so I'm guessing the rush is at 4:30

Stopped in on week night. From outside it looks a little rough meaning does not look like tablecloth type restaurant. Once inside we were surprised. Also was told some staff was from former restautant in town that always was good, Georgio's. Waitress was a bit green but friendly, food was great. We will return.

Came to FL to visit the gf's parents and I was looking for some seafood but my gf doesn't like seafood. I found this place via yelp iPhone app. Like the previous reviewer, I too am a crab cake snob from the Eastern Shore of Maryland so I ordered the crab cake appetizer. The crab cake was delicious, very nice texture and density of crab. The flavor was perfect with a slight spiciness to it. Top notch. The gf and her dad ordered a pizza (pizze) with bacon, gorgonzola, walnuts and pears and i heard nothing but moans of joy from them. They said it was incredible. For my entree, I ordered the Shrimp Fra Diavolo which normally comes with mussels, but the owner/chef came out beforehand and I asked if he'd mind doing mine without the mussels, he said no problem and so it was. The dish was amazing, the shrimp were perfectly cooked and tender without being mushy. The sauce was flavorful with just the right amount of spice and the portion was just right. Oh, I totally forgot what had to be crack-laced garlic bread before the appetizers came. Nothing more to say other than heavenly. All in all, I'd say one of the best places I've ever dined. The service was great, the atmosphere was elegant, and the owner/chef was very nice and jovial. Highly recommended.

1/16/12. After two weeks of a steady diet of burgers, shrimp, French fries and Cole slaw, it was time for a good dinner before we returned to the north. we asked a friend who is a fifteen year resident of Pine Island for a recommendation. He told us Misto. The ownr had run a restaurant on the island and had recently opened Miasto. I looked it up and was surprised to find no reviews. I asked our server how long they had been open and she told me : three months. In short this place was OUTSTANDING! We gave it five stars, because that was all we were allowed. It was better than the restaurant we have rated the highest restaurant back home. he atmosphere was upscale but comfortable.I wish I had worn long pants and a blazer instead of the shorts and a golf shirt. But, they did not mind. Our server was quite friendly and the service was impeccable. this is no red sauce spaghetti Italian restaurant. Everything is fresh and made on the premises. The portions were HUGE. I had a salad and the veal. My wife had filed, two baked potato and green beans. We split a piece of cheesecake. everything was wonderful. here was no weak spot. Some might think MIsto was pricy. This is no McDonalds but this is not pricey. Our dinner came to $56 without tip which was a very fair price for the quality of the food we had. I have paid much more for food that did not come close to the quality of the food we had at MIsto. Our highest recommendation!

Just ate here for a second time and it was every bit as good as the first time. I had the lamb shank with risotto. Wonderful. Crab cake appetizer was very good too and I am a crab cake snob from the Maryland Eastern shore. Raw oysters were fresh and not too small. Staff is very attentive and the chef/owner will occasionally go from table to table to see if everything is ok. Prices were reasonable with dinners ranging from $16 to $25+. Several choices in all price ranges. Very enjoyable dinner.

Misto is by far, the best restaurant in the Cape. It is my go-to restaurant to take out of towners to. We have now eaten there 4 times (this week will likely be the 5th) and it is consistently good. You start off with rolls and a dipping sauce that is to die for. Everyone we go with orders more rolls and then barely has enough room for dinner, much less dessert. We have had so many different dishes. The duck is amazing. We have had and really liked the Sea Misto and Seafood Napoleon. The Blue Ribeye is also amazing. We were at the bar waiting for our table when someone was served this ribeye. We asked the waitress what it was, and that is what my mother ordered. We all got to taste it. It was really good. There are several other dishes that we loved, but I can't remember the names of them. The only thing I didn't like is the seafood crepe. It just wasn't the same caliper as the other menu items. Also, pay special attention to the specials as they are usually excellent. The chef does an amazing job. Usually the service is very good, but that really depends on who waits on you. I would highly recommend Misto to everyone in the cape!

Great restaurant in a small strip of shops, where a plain exterior opens into a classy boutique eatery. First class appetizers, steaks and seafood, good wine and professional service. Will return when in the area.

Have been to Mistos 5 times so far and never had a bad meal. Had the rack of lamb on Tuesday and it was outstanding. The place is not cheap but you get what you pay for. If you want cheap go to McDonalds. If you want incredible food go to Mistos.

5 Stars!! Excellent food! Full bar and extensive wine list. Very nice atmosphere. Reasonable prices for the quality of food and the dining experience. Much needed fine dining in Cape Coral. We cannot wait to return.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
